I am a descendant of George Davis, b. about 1595, and Sarah Clark, b. about 1620, by their oldest son Joseph, b. about 1643 in Salem, married Elizabeth Saywell. Your post is interesting. My sources are: 1. Davis and Allied Families (not identified further, I goofed!) 2. Genealogicl History of the Town of Reading, MA. 3. NeHGR, Volume printed in 1862, for the will of George Davis, made Dec. 7, 1664, and recorded in Book 1, folio 522,. on Sept. 30, 1667. Inventory recorded in Book 5, folio 61. This ends: Invernyory of the goods of Georg Dauis, leatly deceased at Cape faier...... 4. Vital Records of Reading, MA. 5. LDS Temple Ordinance sheet, submitted by Melvina Perry Peters, latest date 1936, listing the following sources: (a) Kilpatrick Family, MA, R1a. pt 2, p320 512. (b) Mass R1. p62, Vit. Rec. (c) Easton's History of Reading Mass. (d) Davis Family of Roxbury and Boston, Mass. (e) also naotations I do not understand, almost all numbers. I haven't consulted any of the sources from the group sheet. Maybe they would satisfy your questions about Sarah Clark's parents. That Nicholas brought charges of Witchcraft against her, and then got her out of jail interests me, and I haven't been able to find the particulars. If you have anything more, I would appreciate it.
