William McDaid born April 4 1874 Glenkeey Culdaff Co Dongel. Died Oc 14 1923 in Winchester Ma. He was about 49 at his death. He married Rose "Muller" Doherty Dec 26 1901.
Rose's parents were Edward "Muller"Doherty and Margaret Bradley.
Rose was born Jan 16 1871 inMilkean Carndonagh Co Donegal and died July 25 1951 age 80 in Woburn Ma.
Their children were:
Daniel Wilfred McDevitt
Margaret Teresa McDevitt
Jeremiah William McDevitt
Helen Rose McDevitt
Mary Ann McDeVitt and
Daniel McDaid.
I am not sure why the children for most part had a different surname. Does anyone know that?
So, since they were born in Ireland, when did they immigrate to MA, and why, with whom?
Are any of the children around? If so I'd love to hear from you. You may e-mail me, if that suites you better.
I'd like to know all I can. The McDaids, McDevitts, Callaghans, Gallaghers, Bradley's (of which my mom was a Bradley) are all connected, some by marriage, as are many of the Doherty's
My grandfather was Patrick Bradley, born in Carndonagh, Glenmakee or Tierlaleague I think. He had two sisters, names Mary and Margaret, that immigrated too, but settled in Santa Clara/Cruz area of CA, married O'Connor brothers from Canada.
Any help with the McDaid/Doherty families, especially would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
