Deceased Name: RUSSELL E. HUGHES, 82
HOLLISTON -- Russell E. Hughes, 82, of 55 Norfolk St., died Friday, Feb. 18, at MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham, after an illness.
His wife, Jean Hughes, died in 1989. He leaves a daughter, Diane Wilson of Medfield; a sister, Marion Kozak of Rutland; and nephews and nieces. He was born in Framingham, son of Thomas L. and Mildred A. (Garfield) Hughes, and graduated from Framingham High School. He moved to Holliston in 1964.
Mr. Hughes worked at the former Roxbury Carpet Mills in Framingham for over 30 years, retiring in 1980.
After cremation at Rural Crematory in Worcester, burial will be at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Baypath Community Services, 370 Waverly St., Framingham 01701. Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street Worcester, is directing arrangements.
