As Rebecca Stewart's granddaughter, I would like to correct the information in this obituary. The obit may have been supplied by the undertaker as a routine service, with information based on assumptions.
Rebecca Stewart was married to Samuel FLANAGAN. After Samuel died, perhaps from complications of alcoholism, Rebecca legally changed her surname, and the surnames of her two sons, to her maiden name of STEWART, in Middlesex County Probate Court, July 11, 1927. She never remarried.
