Hello Maags! Trying to find the line of my great-great-grandmother Catherine Maag (sometimes spelled Katherine or Catharine), born in Philadelphia June 1859. She married John Muller of Philadelphia approx. 1877. They had at least 5 children, George M. born July 1881, Kate, born Dec. 1883, Bessie, born Dec 1883, Mary (my great-grandmother) born Sept. 1886, and Charles, born Feb. 1896. The 1900 census says her parents were born in Germany, but I suspect it may have been Switzerland before the border changed, as is the case on another side of my family. I can't find anything on her, any of her siblings, or her husband John Muller. I have two clue other than the 1900 census data.. that my grandmother said Catherine had a brother that she was aware of, and the death certificate Sept. 28, 1902, on which her married name was written Katherine Mueller. She was buried at Hillside Cemetery in Philadelphia. After she passed away we found the name Clarence Maag in her phone book, but don't know what relation this person was. If you know of these Maags, please contact me.
