Thanks Harriet- I hope we can find a common thread. My ggrandmother Johanna K. Maas married a gentleman (Johann Moeller) from near Itzehoe (NW of Hamburg), so I'm guessing that the Maas line in my family possibly came from that part of Germany too, although its just a hunch. I beleive Saarbrucken is on the French border in the southwest part of Germany, so I would be a little surprised if we have a match, but I wouldn't rule anything out at this point. Thanks for your research- keep me posted!
