Looking for MAAS cousins in Wisconsin.
My G. Grandfather, Laurus "Lawrence" MAAS came to the U.S. in 1886 from somewhere in the Zeeland province of the Netherlands. He came with his widowed mother, Maria (KLEIN) MAAS and his wife, Neeltje "Nellie" (DELANGE) MAAS. They also brought their four children. They settled in Kalamazoo, MI.
Laurus MAAS had two brothers who came over to the U.S. before 1886. One was Johannes MAAS (b. abt 1854), who also settled in Kalamazoo, MI.
The other brother was Daniel MAAS (b. abt 1850), who moved to Sheboygan, WS and lived at 1509 S. 13th Street in 1889. There were some vague memories in the family lore of Maude and Mame, possibly daughters of Daniel.
I'd like to contact Daniel's descendants to share my MAAS data and photos and to learn about my "lost cousins in Wisconsin".
I am aware that there are alot of German/Polish MAAS's in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. Daniel may have been the only Dutch MAAS in the area.
