Abraham Maybee a Civil War veteran in the 1st New York Light Artillery was supposed to have been buried in the "Maybee's Cemetery" in Charlottesburg, NJ according to a tombstone application filed in the National Archives. I am trying to locate the place where he is actually interred since I cannot find a cemetery by that name in Charlottesburg. I have been told that he might be buried in the Vreeland Cemetery in Macopin (West Milford). There is also a plot in the Manning Avenue Cemetery in Butler, NJ belonging to an Abraham Maybee. Abraham was approximately 42 years old in 1864 when he enlisted at Canajoharie, NY.
