John Maben, 1830-16/03/1900, possibly born in Kirkcudbrightshire, Scotland, lived in Stockport, England. I think he married into the North family, coz some of his decendants seem to take on a double-barrelled surname of North Maben. Do you have any more information or history on this? I have some detailed history of Maben's from 1816, but not sure where they were born. John had sisters Elizabeth and Grace Helen, and brothers William, who married Mary McConnel, and James.
