My ancestor, John Davidson, b abt 1720 Ireland d 1762 Augusta Co, VA married to Elizabeth born c. 1730 d 1813 Rockbridge Co, VA. Was Elizabeth's maiden name Maben? Her granddaughter named one of her sons William Maben Kirkpatrick. Does anyone have a Maben family that was in the Augusta/Rockbridge area of VA? Children of John Davidson and Elizabeth (Maben?) were:William, Samuel, Ann, and John.
