I have Maben family members back to 1850 living in CA. Samuel S. Maben came to CA and is listed in the Butte, CA 1850 Fed Census as 18 years old, from Tenn. and occ. coal miner. The family settles in the Los Angeles, CA area so we might have a connection with your Maben family. The Maben spelling changes back and forth.
