I don't know the origin of the name Maben, but, I do live in Maben, Mississippi, Oktibbeha County, 18 miles west of Starkville, home of Mississippi State University, and the town of Maben is a small town named for a lady by the name of Maben.
Have you ever heard of Maben, Mississippi?
