I don't know anything about the origin of the name Maben, but, I do live in Maben, Mississippi, Oktibbeha county, 18 miles west of starkville, home of Mississippi State University.
Our town is a small town, and was named for a lady by the last name Maben. I have the written history of the town of mabenm Mississippi.
