I'm writing this on behalf of my husband! I have just found the Maberley Family Genealogy Forum via Google and noticed your message re wishing to compile a complete worldwide family tree.

The following may be more than you need to know!

Peter's paternal grandmother was Mary Maberley before she married. Her parents were John Henry and Alice Matilda Maberley. She had two brothers, Henry Frederick and William Arthur, both of whom were killed in the first world war, Henry aged 27 in 1917 and William aged 19 in 1915.

The family lived in Iver Heath, Buckinghamshire.

The above information about Henry comes from a scroll sent to his parents. This states that his name is commemmorated at Tyne Cot Cemetery and Memorial, Passchendaele. He was in the Lancashire Fusiliers.

We made some enquiries about William and discovered that he was in the Royal Fusiliers. His name is commemmorated on the Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial.

Both their names are also on a plaque at the church in Iver Heath, which I think is St Margaret's.

We don't know anything about any other Maberley relations, but do have some photographs of the above family.

Regards, Peter and Sharon Sibley
