Since this is a new surname, maybe (no joke intended) I thought I'd post my plea here.
I'm looking for information on John Mabie and Elizabeth ?. There is some information in Encyclopedia of American Quaker Genealogy V5 on him, but clearly not enough. His daughters were Eliza B. (1819-1846)(m Joshua Hadley), Deborah, Catherine F., Susan, and Hannah H.(1815-1900)(m Daniel Jones). He moved to Ohio in 1833, and his wife was dead by this time.
