I must have been asleep when a sent my previous message. It would not be possible for my William to be the son of the William Mable who married Susan Clavering because of the birth dates, but I still think the families are related. Do you know when Susan died? Is it posssible that this is the same William, and that Margaret Davidson was his second wife? I don't have marriage records for them.
