On the 1860 census for Robert and Almeda Mable, there were five Petty children living in the household. I believe that these were the children of a Stephen Petty that lived in that same area of Cobbs County, Georgia. However, I can not determine why these children would be in the Mable household. Does anyone have any information, or ideas on this?
