Mable Family Genealogy Forum

Have you ever investigated the marriage record listed on UK BMD of a William Mable listed for June 1859 in Chelsea, Volume 1a, Page 261? There is only one woman listed with two men. Perhaps one name was not readable? Maybe this is the marriage of William and Sarah. Your thoughts?
I made a mistake about the school. It wasn't Emily Mable who received the gift from the Royal Savoy School it was her first child, a daughter Mabel Wright (born 1876) from Emily's marriage to William Wright. Still interesting though!
Do you have any portraits of William Mable (1794)? We have a portrait of a man that may be him, although I have no way of positively identifying it. The photo was brought with Emily Wright (Mable)when the family emmigrated to Canada in 1909 and it hung on the wall with all of the other family photos. The photo was taken at "Baugh & Bensley" Studio on Ludgate Hill in London and according to a "A Directory of London Photographers" (author Michael Pritchard) this studio was only in operation at this address between 1859-1865.The dates and the age of the man in the photo could easily work for William. If you would like to see it let me know where I can send it to. I also have photos of Emily. thanks for all the help.
