Isaac Mable England

I have just been reading the messages re William Mable and I am also descended from Isaac and Elizabeth Mable. My great great grandfather was Thomas their 2nd child and one of 8 children. He was born at Loughborough Leicester and baptised there on 9th July 1797 with name spelt as Marple with parents Isaac and Elizabeth. Alice & Rebecca followed at Nottingham in 1799 and Anthony on 2nd January 1802 with baptism on 5th February 1802 at St Mary Magdalane, Bermondsey. At the time of Anthony's baptism Isaac & Elizabeth were residing at local workhouse. Isaac appears to have had several occupations, as a leather dresser around 1810 and on death certificate former fruit salesman. This would seem to explain why child born around the Midlands and Southwark.

I have found the Mable family very difficult to trace especially my great great grandfather Thomas, a little bit of mystery to him, his life and loves. My great grandfather Thomas has also proved interesting.

I believe Isaac's parents may have been an Anthony Mable &
Rebecca as a Rebecca Mable aged 84 years was buried on 27th November 1808 at St Mary Magdalene, Bermondsey meaning she was born about 1724.

The Boyd's Marriage Index show an Anthony Mable marrying
a Martha Wombal at St Michaels Derby in 1747 and then in 1750,an Anthony Mably marrying Rebecca-----at Repton, Derbyshire and as Mable surname spelt so many ways is possible the same person and also with Isaac & Elizabeth naming two of their children Rebecca & Anthony is quite probable.

Elizabeth, Isaac,s wife died on 27th October 1854 aged 84 years with daughter Hannah Barnard was present at death.

I hope this information is of help and would love to hear
from others researching this side of the family.
