Mabon Family Name - 1900 TN

I am an African American female whose maiden name is Mabon. I have not been fortunate enough to be able to devote much time to finding out about my family tree. However, I have heard of Mabon's from Scotland, Canada and other places. I only know that my grandfather's family was from somewhere around Somerville, TN. I would like to know more about the name itself. Can anyone fill me in? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
