Thanks for the info regarding the name "Mabon." We've always wondered where the name came from. I've read through other postings and was pretty sure that it had Welsh or Scottish beginnings. I just need to find anyone with that surname who lived in or around Somerville, Tennessee. We are of African descent and all of the Mabons I have encountered in this part of the country are of African descent as well. Therefore, I believe that there must have been a plantation owner who lived in or around this area with that name.
