Hi Clifton,

I am learning a lot as I attempt to research my family name. So far I have been unable to get past my grandfather. The trouble is that to my knowledge he was the only child born to my great-grandmother that was fathered by a Mabon. Everyone else appeared to be from other marriages. She was not the most approachable person when she was alive and I never once heard my grandfather mention his father. I am sure that there are some white people in somewhere in my lineage, where they fit and what role they played, I don't know. Maybe we could be related or maybe my ancestors just needed a last name to fill out some form. One thing is for sure, if the world began with only two people, we all have to be related somehow.

Thanks for writing.

Janis
