I am a Mabon living in the South of England, although my grandparents are Scottish, but Mabon is uncommon in our parts. Having consequently done research into our surname, I stumbled across a ccol explanation of our surname. Like the Greeks and the Hindu's, the Celts had many Gods and Godesses. They had Gods for everything, including a 'Goddess of Love' who went by the name of...Goddess Mabon!
