Hi, Laura. I am a descendant of Jasper Mabray's brother, James who was married to Sarah Cutbirth, their daughter was Caroline Mabray and my grandmother was Tisby Tennessee Henderson...all of Bosque Co., Texas. James was killed by Indians in the Battle of Dove Creek. Several years ago, there was a lot of info. about Jasper Mabray in the Clifton, Texas newspaper. It mentioned his daughter, Martha Mabray Randle as being the first white child born in Bosque County.
