Dear Lane and Matt,

Thank you so much for your replies. It's great seeing your messages.

Lane, if LA is west to you, where do you live? I live in TX and was a little confused at first because I thought you lived in TX too. :)

Matt, thank you for offering to look up David Mabray in the history book you have. Sure hope you find the ole' boy. Don't know how these folks were so elusive and outstanding at the same time!

Let me know if I can do anything for you, okay?

Just a point of interest: While visiting friends in northern LA (Bernice/Shiloh area), I noticed a street sign called Mabry. Anyone know anything about who the street was named for?

Well, I'll wait to hear from you, Matt, on the David lookup. Two of his sons were James and Jasper Newton Mabray - hoping you find at least one of them! :)
