A friend and I are looking at the Beverly Brown family. It appears that Hannah had 3 children with him between 1785-1791 (when he died). Those children were Mary Brown who died 1821, Richard Ruffin Brown was was still alive in 1850, and Hannah Jr who married Dr. John Lucas and had 5 children with him before she died. Does this agree with your records? (this Brown info is based on chancery records and will records)
Beverly Brown (d 1791) and his older brother William Brown(d 1776 in Pr Geo) were intertwined with the Parham's also, but it would take too much room to put it down in this posting.
Did you follow up on any orphan's court's records regarding these children of Hannah or any of her stepchildren??? She apparently was married to William Parham (after Mr Hill) up until he died circa 1780 and probably had 3 Parham children with him (named Ephraim who died 1793 and asked his stepbrother Abner Hill to be exec, Hinchey and Frances(female))
Was the orphan's court book also on microfilm? I am very interested in obtaining access to it for muliple reasons. Also, what was the last date that Joel was guardian?
Also, have you figured out which Mr. Hill Hannah was first married to? Did he die intestate? It looks like he left land in NC for his son Abner Hill to inherit according to William Parham's will.
Abner Hill married his stepsister Sarah Lanier Brown, as evidenced by the will of his stepbrother Beverly Batte Brown in 1805.
