In your book on the Mabus ancestry do you have a MARTIN MABUS? He married Sohma/Sahma (or maybe Selma?) Opthenberger, both born in Germany. They had a daughter Minnie May Mabus, born in Fostoria, Seneca County, Ohio on June 16, 1899. Minnie married (1) Pearl C. Miller, (2) George Andrew Wagner. Minnie and Pearl had a daughter Lottie May Miller (my grandmother). George Andrew (md.1st wife Mary Snell) had a son George M. Wagner. After Minnie and George Andrew married, Minnie "suggested" that Lottie and George M. marry.
Martin Mabus and Sohma info I got from Minnies death certificate, which the informer was George Andrew. So names could have been mispronounced by him (as he was from Germany)or misunderstood by the clerk.
Any info greatly appreciated. Even a locality in Germany.
Thanks,
Ruth Sprowls
