Looking for information regarding Georg Michael Mebus (b. 18 Feb 42, Kirchburg, Baden-Wuertenburg, Germany, d. 23 Feb 1890, Tamoroa, Illinois). According to the info I have he married Eva Zachary on 22 Mar 1875 (do not know the location) and emigrated to the US in 1872. I think he had at least one brother named Georg Heinrich. His parents were Georg Michel Mebus and Anna Maria Huttner (married 13 Apr 1839 in Kirchburg). I believe that Georg Michel was born on 18 Mar 1805 and died on 16 Dec 1876, born and died in Kirchburg. Huttner was born on 28 Nov 1814 and died on 8 Dec 1869. Any information confirming any of these facts and any additional information regarding the Mebus family in Kirchberg, Germany would be greatly appreciated. Note - name may be spelled Mabus, Mebes, Mobus, Moibus, etc.
