I have quite a bit of Info for you about Georg Michael Mebus. He was my Great Grandfather. Came to US in 1872, married Eva Zachary in St Louis, bought a farm in Perry Co, Ill. Two younger sisters followed him Fredrieka and Caroline. I have a portrait of him as well. He is buried in Nine Mile Cemetery in Perry Co Illinois alongside his father-in-law Leonardt Zachary and a daughter Johanna.
