Tracy ... sorry I am a little slow to reply ... The McArthur family Bible I have has Catherine McArthur being born on Islay, baptised on 27 Sept 1835, married in 1862 and died on 4 May 1865. Beside the "married" date is recorded the word "Kirkland". I believe there is a noted Kirkland family and a place called Kirkland somewhere in Ireland. She had an older sister Ann, born in 1833, a younger brother John (my great grandfather) born in 1837, and very possibly a Duncan and a Margaret.Their father Charles was born on 28 Oct 1804 , married Catherine Johnstone on 29 June 1830 and was listed as a "Maltman" (Bomore Distilleries???)He was from "Bairm Taillant" about a mile south west of Bomore. Catherine was from "Avonvogie" about a mile away.
I am not sure we have a match based on the marriage date (1862) but I have some additional information that may assist you.
