A few updates ... My Catherine McArthur died between 1843 and 1851. Catherine's parents were Duncan Johnston and Katherine McIntyre.
All of the children left Scotland in 1854 for Canada, ONT, Victoria County, Eldon Township. I have more information on them.
I don't know what happened to Charles yet! but he was my gggrandfather. Since he was shown to be a "maltman" in the 1851 Census and the family lived at the Farm of Tallant he probably worked at the Tallant Distillery. If the family followed the accepted naming conventions Charles' parents were probaly called John McArthur and Ann and were possibly born in the 1775 area.I also have a strong suspicion that Charles had brothers and sisters???
Any "hits" ? Any possible "hits"? Thanks all.
