Hi

Well, it's been 7 1/2 years since I first posted - time flies!!

I found the McAskill I was looking for!! Kenneth actually turned out to be WILLIAM KENNETH (parents Kenneth and Laura nee Scott). This Kenneth's parents are Allan (b. 1821) and Christina nee Monk (b. 1828) presumably from Isle of Skye who settled in South Australia. Clare, SA seems to where a couple of McAskill families settled.

William Kenneth was born in Western Australi and had two children (one of whom is now my mother in law). He 'disappeared' in the mid 30's. We found his war record (WWII) and turns out he died in 1968 in Mt Isa, Queensland. We are now trying to figure out why he 'left' in the 30's and what he was doing in Queensland after the war.

Hope everyone else is having some wins with their research, too!

Natasha
