I am looking for information on the Macasseys from Leighlinbridge, Carlow County, Ireland. John Wesley was my GGGrandfather and this is all I have. This was sent to me from a Finch researcher and taken from the History of Fayette County Tennesse in 1986: "Sarah Jane Finch married John Wesley Macassey, Jr. January 15, 1866. He was born 1822 Leighlinbridge, Carlow County, Ireland, and died 1894 Memphis, Tn. She died Sept 24, 1874. He married second Minerva Dickson. The children of Sarah Jane and John Wesley Macassey were Mary Gray born Oct 1866, Lulu Belle born May 18, 1868, did not marry, died 1932; Martha Sue (Maddie Sue) born July 24, 1870 and John Wesley born April 1872, did not marry, died 1912. Mary Gray Macassey married William Franklin Dickson. He was brother of Minerva Dickson who married John Wesley Macassey, father of Mary Gray Macassey, as his second wife. Mary Gray Macassey Dickson died 1949. William F. Dickson died 1938. Their children were Harry born Sept 1886, Frederick born April 1889 and Mary born Oct 1892. Martha Sue (my ggrandmother) married Charles Francis Rosson Sept 30, 1890. She died 1946. They had seven children- Myra (my grandmother) born Nov 1892, Myra's twin Nell Gray born Nov 1892, Louise Martha born Nove 1897, Doris born August 1899 and Frank, David and Charles who died as children. If you are interested, I can complete the line as I know it---The macassey line is scarce for me and no one left to ask. Thanks!
