1. William M'Auley, Asst. Surgeon, 1st or King's Dragoon Guards, 1815. At Waterloo.

2. Ireland--Royal College of St. Patrick, Maynooth, 1795, , Professor of Rhetoric and Belles Lettres was the Rev. Patrick M'Auley.

3. Hibernian General Missionary Society--Committee member was William M'Auley, Esq. of George's Quay. The Treasurer of the Society at this Ltime was John David La Touche, Esq.

4. Geneva, Nebraska, USA--Miss Emma McCaully named town in 1871. She was the dau of Col. J. A. McCaully who owned the farm on which the town was established. Geneva is the county seat of Fillmore County.

5. East India Ship (1769-1770) the British King; William Black, Esq.; Capt. Daniel Griffiths Hoare; 1st (Mate?) John M'Auley.

6. McAuley, an old and well-known citizen of Chicago of an eccentric nature, packed himself in a box to be sent to Miss Kisselman in Philadelphia. Why? Because he had determined that it was cheaper to be sent as merchandise rather than travel as a passenger.
