I have confirmed the marriage of Alexander Carrick writer of Glasgow b. 1779 married Jane or Jean Macaulay/McAuley b. 1775 M.27-9-1803 and had John McAulay b. 4-11-1804,
Isabella B. 1807, Elisabeth B. 1809, Jane Jamina B. 1811 and Fanny B. 1815.
I have now confirmed John McAuley Carrick is my GGGG grandfather and he married a women called Ellen. Dont know the surname. I have a copy of the grant of his will 1861 Dublin where Ellen is listed as his wife. The will didn't survive the 1922 bombing.
I know John Carrick and Ellen had at least 2 children Jane b. 1833 and Andrew not sure of his birth year.
Does anybody know of John's wife's maiden name and any more or their childrens names?
I am also looking for the man Jane Carrick married. He was William Boyd esq of Glasgow they married in Drumcondra 1851 but I have not found anything more on him. He died sometime between 1873 and 1884 in Dublin I believe.
Does anybody have anymore information on any of these people. any help or guidance would be appreciated.
