Book: "A Double Scotch", by F. Paul Pacult

Only snippets from this book are on line, so the information that follows is far from being complete.

1. James Chivas, J.P., merchant (brewer), d. 1886, aged 75
m. Joyce Clapperton (Chivas) surname Clapperton?

2. Julia Abercrombie Chivas m. Mr Huxley and lived in Birmingham

2. James Joyce Chivas m. 1882 Emma Grosskopf; emigrated to the U.S. and according to the 1882 census he was listed as being a clerk for Northwestern National Insurance Co., d. aged 49 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

2. Williaminia Joyce Chivas Shirres Chivas m. Mr Stewart

2. Alexander Chivas m. 1891 Alyce (Dotty) Macaulay; He died 25 months after marriage; no issue.

**I am now exploring the fact that a Leonard Huxley (related to above??) married a Rosalind Bruce.
