Frederic William Macaulay of Belfast (1801-1839) m. Anna Hyndman, dau of Robert Hyndman and Rebecca McIlwaine.

Their youngest son was John Beccles Macaulay, b. London 7 June 1838; d. Durban, Natal, South Africa in 1906. He married Leocadi Gomez w/ issue:

1. Julie Marguerite b. Southampton, co. Hants 1871; m. Charles Scott of Durban, Natal, South Africa w/issue.

2. Anita Frances, b. Southampton 1873; m. Percy Lucas of Bethlehem, Orange River Colony, South Africa w/issue.

3. Rosina Carlotta b. Durban 1885; m. Alan Smedley of Durban w/ issue.
