am looking for info on my GGG Grandparents Alexander Macauley and Margaret Bates of New Jersey.
Alexander Macauley
Born: Jul 1840 - New York
Died: 1930 - Scotch Plains, Union, NJ
Buried: Scotch Plains Baptist Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ
He married Margaret Bates on May 25, 1865 in Plainfield, Union, NJ.
Alexander worked as a carpenter.
Margaret Bates
Born: Feb 1843 - Scotland
Died: 1930 - Scotch Plains, Union, NJ
Buried: Scotch Plains Baptist Cemetery, Scotch Plains, NJ
Mother: Jane Unknown (1821-1908)
In 1846, Jane and Margaret immigrated from Scotland w/Margaret’s father. The only info I have on him is that he was born in Ireland, and died in the U.S. Jane remarried Shottleworth Adair in NJ.
