Hello David, I found the information on the Clan Buchanan information. The Clan buchanan came from Clan MacAuslan, an 11Th Century Irish-Scottish Clan. A search on for Clan Macauslan will also give you a lot of material, although I'm not sure as to how helpful. Good luck. Ho, the Clan homepage may be a good source as well.
