Hi Peter,
My name is George Lauder McAusland I am researching my family tree and I was intrested in your message board My family came from Paisley (Scotland) January 2004 i Did not know any McAusalnds apart from my father and my grandfather and grandmother as my grandparents fell out with the rest of the McAuslands when my father was a boy.
Since January i have found my family back to about the late 1700`s in Paisley looking further back which is a bit harder as records were scarce and sketcy i think they came from Cardross in Dumbartonshire and from their I think Luss?
I know some of them went to the USA and Canada as my grandfather visited someone in the US and also traveled to Canada as we have postcards from Pospect park,New York and post cards from Canada.
i would love to hear from you and tell you more and hear how you are getting on with your tree.
