I am not researching these people, just entering information I hope will be helpful. From the Book "This Was The Life" by Millard Milburn Rice, 1984 is the following:
Frederick County Court August, 1758 - Benjamin Kelly petitions the Court 'that on November last died Mr. Brock Mackbee, his wife and child left behind them a large family of young children, unprovided for and living on the petitioner's land. Your petitioner in regard to the family was at the charge of burying the said Brock, his wife and child in a decent manner and likewise I have been at a great expense in clothing and maintaining them ever since the death of the said Brock Macabee and as to the estate of the said Brock his eldest son by a former wife, Egbert Macbee, have taken all and will not assist in maintaining the children on any account. Your petitioner, being a poor man and having a family of his own cannot afford to maintain the other without being allowed something toward maintaining them.' The Court allowed the petitioner 2,000 pounds of tobacco 'for the care and expense he has been at."
On another page - "Ordered that Matthew Mackbee, aged 15 years, Jeremiah Mackbee, aged 11 years, Mary Mackbee, aged 5 years, and Cazier Mackbee, aged 2 years, be bound to Benjamin Kelly and the said Kelly learn the boys to read and write and the girl to read and that he give them at the expiration of their freedom (sic) cloathes and every other necessary for orphans."
I don't know if this person is a member of the same family -"June Court of 1752 - The Grand Jury made the following presentments: Leucey Mackbee 'for having a baseborn child."
"November Court, 1752 - Lucy Macbee was found guilty by confession and fined 3 pounds."
