Maureen or Pat,
Do any of you know if there is any records in Ireland or Scotland that shows the immigration of people from 1700-1800 into the US. I know I have a relative back to 1771 that was born in the US, so the family had to come over piror to that. We know that there were other McCabe's here before 1771 and we are trying to find out the lineage back from around 1700-1771 so we can get back to the Irish or Scottish branch of the family. it sounds like Ireland is the best bet based on the discussions here.
I hope to get some information from you, but know these are fairly old threads of information.
