I am excited by the messages regarding the McDairmid/Mcdiarmid family. I have been researching them for a few years. My paternal grandmother was Isabella McDiarmid, born Inverness,1860 and died in Ontario, Canada 1951. Her father was Angus McDiarmid, mother Annie Nicholson. She married my Grandfather (William Henderson) in Ontario. I have been in touch with some McDiarmid relatives in Ontario who are intersted but we all know so little. I do hope some of my information will help anyone who has posted messages.

I will eagerly await your posting on the terrific information you researched in Skye. How wonderful to have been there. I have to agree with Diane Devens that all McDearmids/McDiarmids are brilliant, beautiful (and humble) and spread all around the world it would seem.
