I have a Duncan and Mary Macdiarmid of Kiltyre farm, Killin/Kenmore, Perthshire.

They had seven children: John c. 1789; Danial (also known as Donald) 1791; Donald b. 1793; Archibald, b. 1795; Hugh b. 1797, Duncan b. 1801 and Peter b. 1807.

My line descends from Peter who married Catherine MacNab.

Do you thinks there is any connection.

I know that the population of Loch Tayside dropped by from 2,500 to 250 during the clearances. I have found no down line from Duncan.

Would like to hear from you.
