My grandfather was John MacIntyre and he married Marion Marsh. My father is Donald L. MacIntyre. I do not know John's parents names but recently found out (from an older MacIntyre relative) that his father was 100% Scottish and his wife was 100% Norweigen. She did not speak any english when she sailed here from Norway. I haven't been told her name. My great-grandfather was a postman in the new england states, his parent's came over during the days of oppresion by the English towards the Highlanders. I have an Aunt Floramay who knows quite a bit of MacIntyre history, she told me that one of the MacIntyre ancestors was appointed by the president to return the land back to their rightful owners in the state of Virginia after the civil war. He was stated as being a trustworthy man, he also owned a (boot/shoe) factory in NY (?).
I can't remember if my father was born in New Jersey or Maryland? If someone can help fill in blanks please do.
