Hi My grandfather, Alexander Cockburn married a Kate Macintyre in Halifax Nova Scotia in 1893 she was 26yrs old at the time of the marriage and he was 22yrs and serving with the Royal Engineers in the British Army, they then moved to Bermuda. I am trying to find out where Kate was born I have found a birth in Cape Breton for a Catherine Macintyre in 1866 parents given as Donald Macintyre and Mary McIsaac I found her again on the 1881 Canadian census giving her parents as Donald Macintyre and Catherine, otherwise all the dates are correct. The only other clue I have is that Kate or Catherine gives her nationality on the marriage Certificate as Irish I am hoping that this might ring a bell with someone
Thank you Pam
