Bessie Mackay 1888, PA
Posted by: dana Date: September 09, 1999 at 07:24:38

I am looking for information on Bessie Mae Mackay, born July 1888 in PA, probably New Castle. She worked in a boarding house until the age of 20 when Wiley Oliver Evans came to the boarding house and married her. They had 14 children, all born in Ohio. Bessie may have been raised by an aunt. She had siblings (or cousins) John Mackay and Mertle Mackay who married a man known to the grandchildren as Uncle Dutch. He died in New Castle around 1920. I have very little to go on and Bessie refused to talk about her family life. Any information woudl be greatly appreciated. You can e-mail me directly at danas@ont.com.

Thanks!
Dana
