A major breakthrough for me with my two Mackay lines branching from Iye Dhu "Black Iye" Mackay b in Farr Strathnaver. One line comes through Huistean Dhu Mackay; the other via Donald Ballock Mackay converging with Rev Thomas Mackay 1717-1803, minister at Lairg.
He m Margaret Montgomery and a dau Harriet m 1778 'my' Rev George Gordon of Loth. I have Iye Dhu Mackay's line going back to Iye Macneil of Gigha, and through the wife of Angus Dhu Mackay, 7th Chief, to Robert Stuart II, King of Scotland.
