When I was in the General Register Office in Edinburgh yesterday I tried to find Hughina on their highly efficient computer searching service. I found no matching entry even for several years either side. That suggests you have been given wrong information in some respect. Could Hughina have been registered under another name eg because her mother was single at the time? Perhaps you need to see a marriage or death certificate for Hughina.
