Greetings,
My gg-grandmother was named Catherine Mackay.
She was born in Baptiste, Ontario in 1848. That town was incorporated into the Frontenac area in the 1920's and no longer has a post office.
She married Michael Joseph Allen, born in Limmerick in 1846. They lived in Chicago.
Her mother's maiden name was possibly MacAllister.
Any connection?
Julie Beardsley
